girls of dust
overview:
Shot for Ad Hoc Textiles, the Girls of Dust campaign drew its tension from contrast: heavy fabrics and soft silks set against a barren, desolate landscape. The garments carried the weight of workwear heritage but moved with a quiet fluidity, their textures refracted through sand, wind, and horizon. The creative directive was to reveal not just form but ethos: strength rendered graceful, and grit rendered intimate. Composition prioritized the dialogue between fabric and skin, dust and light. Each frame is less a portrait than a proof of concept: utilitarian design recalibrated through a contemporary gaze, softness nested within rawness. Each frame became a study in duality: utility and delicacy, harshness and poise, the human figure holding its own within an unforgiving expanse.
